IAT Race test
Taking the IAT race test was interesting. I learned that I ran into some of the same challenges in taking the test that were reported on the audio tape during our June 2nd class. I found that I wanted to press E and I as quickly as I could to show that I knew exactly which facial features/coloring belong to each group. I found it frustrating when my brain told me which button to push but my fingers did not respond and pressed the wrong button. It took several seconds to look at the word, the picture and then press the correct button. I do not feel that I am biased however I showed a strong preference for white people.
